Shall be an experienced welder of 8 years experience (as hereinafter described) and shall have been engaged in offshore work in the petroleum industry for a min. of 5 years and have experience of coordinating & supervising welding activities offshore on all offshore platform & on-board construction barge for min. 2 years.

Must have served a recognized apprenticeship as a welder and be qualified to technician level with City and Guilds (or equivalent) qualifications. Min. 5 years experience with at least 5 years in oil and gas industry & 2 years at a supervisory level.

Must be familiar with the international codes API 1104, ASME IX, and AWS and also Company qualifications. Familiar with the various grade of steel used in the oil industry, and the welding procedures required for the various steel including pre & post heat treatment. In addition he is required to be fully familiar with all pipe work fitting and pressure classification used in the oil industry.

Must be qualified piping & structural welder as described in Company’s specifications.

Familiar with hazardous area classification and requirements.

Able to read, write in English and Bahasa
